3. Three open kitchens offering soups, pies, pasta, snails, rabbits & desserts cooked using rural recipies

   Information on recipe preparation and traditional delicacies will be available

   Local delicacies such as cheeslets, olive oil and sundried tomatoes can be bought

   Ta’ Ħaġrat World Heritage Site, Mġarr parish church, a World War II shelter and an art exhibition.

   Park & Ride system will be available from Għajn Tuffieħa and Żebbiegħ to Mġarr.

Auction for Santa Marija 2009 Procession was won by the Zebbiegh group with Charles 'Il-Perkins' Grima at the helm. They won with a hefty EUR12,000 bid, despite stiff competition from Swaey group.

Lejla Mgarrija 2009 will be held on Saturday, 8th August and Sunday 9th August. On the 8th of August, the newly restored St.Mary statue will be carried in procession through Mgarr before the main Lejla Mgarrija programme starts.
